• 1. What kind of engineering do you do?

We specialize in light frame construction. We have experience with concrete, masonry, and steel projects. We design foundations for pre-fabricated metal buildings. We also work on highways and civil related structures.

  • 2. What do you charge for engineering?

While each project is a little different, you can expect competitive pricing from us. In order to get a more accurate estimate, email us a copy of the plans.

  • 3. What services do you provide for the original fee?

We will provide structural design calculations and structural plans that are necessary to acquire a permit. We will respond to comments from the local building department.

  • 4. What if I want to make changes after the plan has been engineered?

Changes to the plan after the original engineering and drafting has been completed will result in additional fees. This fee is typically based on the time that we spend designing and drafting the changes.

  • 5. What is not included in the original fee?

Letters addressing changes made to the plans in the field or addressing field mistakes are typically not included in the original fee. Other things such as deferred submittal reviews (truss package reviews, etc) and site visits are not included in the original fees.

  • 6. How soon can you get my plans back to me?

Turnaround time is a function of the type of job and what other work we currently have in house. Once we review your plans and determine the scope of work, we can give a time estimate to finish the job.
